Purchasing:
1. What are my payment options?
Sale Spot accepts payment by all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard and BankCard.
2. What happens after I order?
Once you have completed your purchase you will be automatically emailed an invoice stating the products purchased, the amount charged and your delivery details (to eliminate any problems please make sure these are all correct). Your order will then be dispatched from the vendors you purchased from and delivered to your requested address within 10 working days.
Please note: Our vendors will always endeavor to work with their delivery partners to ensure prompt arrival of your products within 10 days but this can not be guaranteed.
There may be times when, despite their best efforts, parcels are delayed in the delivery process (which is out of the control of Sale Spot).
3. What if I make a mistake when I order?
Email us straight away at help@salespot.com.au with your order number (found on the emailed invoice) and your concerns. We will do our best to rectify any problems within reason, as quickly as possible.
4. If a product sells out will it be re-listed?
If one of our retailers has additional stock in one of their stores they may choose to re-list an item if it was selling well online. But keep in mind the majority of stock is clearance and end-of-line products so quantities are limited.
5. How does the Tell a Friend promotion work?
Simply enter five valid email addresses of friends you believe would enjoy using the Sale Spot website and we will reward you with 10% off you next product purchase. Once your five email addresses have been entered and sent a promotional code will be sent to your email address (you must be registered and logged in at time of entering emails to receive the code). When you are shopping next just enter the code into the designated spot in your shopping bag and the discount will automatically be calculated and deducted.
Please note: the discount applies to product costs only and does not apply to the delivery cost. Only one promotional code will be issued per registered member and the code can only be used for one purchase only.
Security
1. Is it safe to shop on salespot.com.au?
We have taken every possible measure to provide security for our customers. Whenever you are transmitting sensitive information (credit card details) it is sent in an encrypted envelope (secure pages). Our e-commerce system uses the latest technology that the St George Bank of Australia provides. Sale Spot never receives your credit card information. St George provide a secure gateway to ensure your privacy and security for your credit card details. The encryption is designed to prevent other parties intercepting this information and makes it almost impossible to be intercepted by an unauthorized party.
You will know when the server is secure, a padlock or a key will appear on your browser and also secure web pages can be identified by their URL: they begin with ‘https://’, while standard pages begin with ‘http//’.
At no time during an online transaction are your credit card details stored by Salespot.com.au. The details of your purchase amount are securely transmitted to the bank for approval and the response is returned to us.
2. What if I have a query about my credit card charges?
If the amount charged to your credit card differs from the amount stated on your Sale Spot invoice please email help@salespot.com.au.
Refunds
1. What is the Sale Spot refund policy?
Since Sale Spot is an agent and purely an avenue for stores to sell their sale products through, each vendor is responsible for returns and refunds. Please contact the vendor you bought from if you have a problem with an item you received. The vendors contact information is supplied on your Sale Spot Tax Invoice.
If you have trouble contacting a vendor, or you think you have been treated unfairly by a vendor, please don’t hesitate to contact Sale Spot.
Delivery
1. When will my goods arrive?
Your order will be dispatched from the vendors you purchased from and delivered to your requested address within 10 working days. The order may be dispatched from different locations if you have ordered from different stores and it may not arrive all on the same day.
Please note: Our vendors will always endeavor to work with their delivery partners to ensure prompt arrival of your products within 10 days but this can not be guaranteed.
There may be times when, despite their best efforts, parcels are delayed in the delivery process (which is out of the control of Sale Spot).
2. If my parcel hasn’t arrived and it’s exceeded the 10 day delivery period what do I do?
Please email or call your vendor, they will be able to help you (vendor contact details can be found on your invoice). Failing that, please email us at help@salespot.com.au with your order number (also located on your invoice) and we will help you track your delivery.
3. Do you deliver to P.O. BOXES?
Yes. If the parcel is large it will be delivered to your post office and a notification card will be left in your mail box.
4. Can I organise for the goods to be delivered to a different address then the one I registered under my Account?
Yes, at the check-out stage of purchase delivery details can be changed to an alternate address.
5. Do you deliver overseas?
No, at this stage Sale Spot only delivers within Australia. We intend to expand to an international customer base in the near future so watch this space for updates or better still register with Sale Spot and you will be automatically notified of all things new and exciting at Sale Spot.
6. Will my order be delivered together if the items I bought are coming from different stores?
If you have purchased items from multiple stores they will be dispatched from different locations and therefore may not be delivered on the same day.
7. What happens to the delivery fee if I am buying multiple items from the same store or items from different stores?
Sale Spot and their retail partners are not looking to make profit from shipping. Each retailer has a choice of different shipping options; free delivery, pick up only, $10 cap Australia wide, 20% off, 50 % off and standard Australia Post rates plus packaging. We have implemented these shipping options to be able to offer more savings to the customer.
If you buy multiple items from the same store it works in your favor. The first item is the only item that will attract a flat fee on the first 250 grams. Any following items will be charged by actual weight or cubic weight alone. Our system is based on the same calculations Australia Post use.
Your shipping costs are clearly displayed in your shopping bag before you proceed to checkout. We know people like to know what they are paying before entering their credit card details. If you buy multiple items from different stores depending on the shipping options you may incur a flat fee from each as they are being dispatched from different locations.
Gifts
1. Can I have goods delivered to a friend?
Absolutely! Just make sure that you nominate their address when filling in the delivery details at the check-out stage of purchase.
2. Will the person receiving my gift see how much I paid?
There will be an invoice delivered with your parcel that includes the cost of products sold. Also as stock is coming from retailers and may have been displayed in their stores we can not guarantee all price tags have been removed.
Looking after our customers
1. I want more info on a listed product?
With product listings you will find a more info link. By clicking on the link you will be able to access any additional info about the product. By clicking on the product image you will also be able to view a larger product picture. Should you still be seeking further details email us at help@salespot.com.au .
2. I am happy or unhappy with my experience on the Sale Spot website. Who do I tell?
We have made every effort to create a website that is clear, concise and easy for our customers to use. If you have any suggestions for improvements, concerns or additional features that you would like to see on the website your feedback is welcomed and extremely valuable. Please use our Contact Us page or Feedback link to submit your comments.
3. I am happy or unhappy about the service of a retail partner. Who do I tell?
Our retail partners are an essential element of Sale Spots success. If your experience with one of our retailer’s products or service either exceeded your expectation or didn’t quite meet your expectation we would love to know. Please submit your comments on our ‘Your Feedback: On Vendors’ page.
4. What do I do if I feel my items are not as they were described or are faulty?
We have listed product information as supplied by our retailers and have made every attempt to provide a true description. Unfortunately computer calibration does vary from computer to computer so colour variation can not be controlled.
If you have reason to believe your product is faulty then please contact the appropriate vendor (vendor contact details can be found on your customer invoice) within 3 days of receiving your delivery. If you have trouble contacting a vendor, or you think you have been treated unfairly by a vendor, please don’t hesitate to contact Sale Spot at help@salespot.com.au .

Finding that bargain
1. How can I search for items?
There are two easy ways to browse for items either by product category for example kids’ gear, or by retail store. Both search tools are located on the left hand side of the website.
2. How do I narrow my search?
If you would prefer to narrow your search to a specific item you can search that item by typing the product name into the search button on the top right hand side of the website, from there you will be automatically transferred directly to our closest product matches.
Registration
1. What do I do if I have forgotten my password?
Follow the ‘Unable to Log in’ link on Sale Spot’s home page, enter your email address where indicated and we will email your password to you straight away.
2. How do I change my password?
Once you have logged in, follow the ‘Update Your Account Details’ link to the Password link where you can change your password instantly.
3. How do I change details?
Once you have logged in simply follow the ‘Update Your Account Details’ link and enter your new details. By clicking the update button the new details will be saved.
